Project Sydney Harbour Bridge began in 1923, when Sydney was virtually split in two. From your vantage up on the Lookout you can only but wonder what it took to remove 800 homes in the pathway of the bridge prior to its construction.

The Lookout is home to a vast collection of historical artefacts reminiscent of the era. A taste of history and modern architecture rolled into one, the in-house museum also shows and tells the story of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in all its glory.

Once you have taken in some of this fascinating history climb the stairway and get ready for an adventure that has attracted over 16 million visitors!

At the top of the stairwell, close your eyes… and gently step out into a world like no other. The sensation of free wind blowing through your hair and over your face is exhilarating and will send tingles of excitement and wonder throughout your entire body.

It is now time to open your eyes and glance out over the amazing views of Sydney and beyond!

From this view you can take in some of the activities associated with the Sydney Harbour Bridge and then across the water all the way to the Blue Mountains.

The Pylon Lookout, on the second level, comprises two observation decks that will give you the chance to see both sides of the city and what lies beyond. Make sure your camera has plenty of charge as this view offers so many sensational photographic opportunities.
